NATOA Announces 2007 Government Programming Awards Local communities from across the country light up the night with exceptional programming efforts record number of entries from across the country.

The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors congratulated the winners of its 22nd Annual Government Programming Awards at a Gala event in Portland, Oregon. The awards recognize excellence in broadcast, cable multimedia and electronic programming produced by local government agencies. This year NATOA received over
1200 entries representing 180 agencies from 31 states across the country and Canada.

The South Washington County Telecommunications Commission (SWCTC) would like to congratulate Government Producer, Robert McSherry, for his continued effort to produce award winning programmingù said SWCTC Chair, Richard Irvine.
McSherry brought home a 2nd place award in Community Event Promotion for Cottage Grove Boot Hockey and also received acknowledgment for his outstanding work on The City of Woodbury's Haunted Trail.

There is no denying local community and government television programming are thriving and meeting the needs of our communities. Emphasizing the significance of the awards, SWCTC Administrator, Fran Hemmesch said this is recognition of the high caliber of our staff and their production work as well as an affirmation of the support we receive from the SWCTC and our Member Cities
