The Sheriff's Water Recovery Team is part of the Water, Parks, and Trails Unit. The Unit is responsible for the underwater search and recovery operations that have been directed or requested by the Sheriff. The Recovery Unit covers the entire county and because it is a joint team with St Croix County, Wisconsin, the team covers St Croix County as well.

The local area boy scouts held a Pinewood Derby and the St. Paul Park Fire Department held an ice rescue training drill and much more.

Community Circles, also known as Peacemaking Circles, are a community-directed process most commonly used for addressing issues surrounding local incidents of crime and conflict. Sentencing Circles in Washington County are created in partnership with the justice system, and create a respectful space to support victims, develop sentences with and for clients, and empower all interested community members to work toward preventing future occurrences of conflict.

The Washington County SWAT Team is a multi-jurisdictional part-time team that serves the citizens of Washington County in high risk situations. All local law enforcement agencies within Washington County are represented on the team.
